Connect a domain you already own
Most clubs connect a subdomain such as join.yourclub.com and leave their main site alone. That gets you a branded joining experience without touching anything that already works.
- In Domains, add the hostname you want to use.
- Copy the record shown and add it at your DNS provider.
- Wait for it to resolve, then press Check. iJoin verifies it and issues a certificate.
If verification will not pass
- DNS changes are not instant. Give it a few minutes before assuming something is wrong.
- If your DNS provider offers a proxy or CDN toggle, turn it off for this record. A proxied record hides the value iJoin is checking for, and verification cannot pass.
- Check for an old record for the same hostname. Two records fight and the wrong one usually wins.
A stale "does not exist" answer can be cached on your own machine after you add a record. If it resolves everywhere else but not for you, that is what happened.
